Boxers marked another year of success, progress and achievements at the annual end of season celebration for St Paul’s Boxing Academy.

The prize-giving event, held in the gym on Sunday, July 6, saw medals and certificates handed out to the club’s carded boxers by head coach Mike Bromby and trustee, Clare Lewis.

Mike said it had been another great year for the club and the prize-winning event was a great way to celebrate the successes of individual boxers, as well as bringing the St Paul’s family together.

He said: “I want to thank all our boxers for their hard work and dedication which has paid off with the successes we have had this year.

“I also want to say a huge thank you to the coaches and volunteers who selflessly give their time and expertise to ensure the club continues to function and the boxers continue to progress.

“I’m very proud of the club and would like to say congratulations to everyone. I look forward to seeing more talent coming through in the coming season.”

David Garness, chair of the trustees, added: “Once again, the awards event has highlighted the sheer talent we have here at St Paul’s Boxing Academy and it goes to show that all the hard work put in by the boxers and coaches pays off.”

As a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, St Paul’s Boxing Academy relies on donations from individuals, companies, and other organisations for its survival.

Recently, the company launched the Friends of St Paul’s scheme to make it easier for businesses and individuals to donate.

The financial support enables St Paul’s to work with more young people to provide access to training and mentors to help create champions in the ring, but also in life. To find out more about Friends of St Paul’s click here https://fosphull.co.uk
