WHAT WE DO…

The St. Paul’s Boxing Academy, which was founded in 1948, is located in the City Centre of Kingston upon Hull. The Academy specialises in the delivery of boxing based and keep fit sessions. Through its services it aims to improve individual fitness, health and well-being whilst at the same time increasing individual self-confidence and self-esteem.

Boxing training provides some of the best all over body conditioning you can get, no matter what your age or level of ability. It’s a great way of improving stamina because boxing training boosts the cardiovascular system while improving core strength and balance. Moreover, this sort of training is becoming increasingly popular as its health benefits are widely recognised . What’s more is that you can train like a boxer without actually competing.

Sessions include non-contact and shadow boxing, punch bag exercises, skipping, circuit training, and flexibility training. Each session is supervised by experienced, fully qualified coaches and is tailored to the needs of the individual group.

All St. Paul’s coaches are regularly involved in the delivery of club sessions at the gym and have extensive experience of coaching children, young people and adults at all levels from absolute beginners through to Olympic, national and international champions.

St. Paul’s Boxing Academy offers a range of services suitable for college students, fitness and conditioning for other sports including football & rugby teams; NEETS and children and young people from challenging social and economic backgrounds.
